Portsmouth Radio Club originated in 1939 and became a charter member of ARRL in July, 1949. The Club's mission is to provide individuals who have an interest in amateur radio a means of learning, cooperating, exchanging information and communicating in various ways, all in a social environment for the benefit and pleasure of all its members. PRC is prepared at all times to support local communities with emergency radio communications using all means available at our disposal. The Club serves Adams, Lawrence, Pike and Scioto counties. PRC club meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the Vern Riffe Branch Library in New Boston, Ohio. Meetings begin at 6:30 pm. The December meeting is the club's annual Christmas dinner. To become a member of the Portsmouth Radio Club, call or email any officer for an application. |
